Good evening,
At the meeting last week we decided it was about time to start
planning the release parties and the first point of business is the
booking of a date, time venue.
The main criteria for a successful venue are:
* Fairly central
* Accessible via public transport
* Able to site 10 - 20
Thanks to Jared for organising the Oneiric release party for Brisbane. We went
to the Breakfast Creek Hotel and partook of some cold beverages and finger
food. Among the many things discussed were the plans for the Ubuntu Install

Good evening,
Just a quick reminder tomorrow afternoon is the Brisbane Oneiric
Ocelot Release Party at the Breakfast Creek Hotel at 2pm. Full details
available here [1].
I also just wanted to see if anyone wanted any discs brought along so
those without decent Internet can have a copy sooner
Appropriately enough, I just managed to get the new release of 11.10 onto my
EeePC yesterday afternoon. I shall bring it along in case anyone wants to have
a play.
Is there a reservation at the BCH or do I mill around looking for Ubuntu
shirts? :-)
I should be there at 12.00 or shortly

Hey everyone,
I've hit up Zaraffas Cafe in Toowoomba about holding local Ubuntu meet

to supply additional power points and free wifi to have a group of

Not sure we've ever found a venue that had wifi available freely in
Brisbane yet. Willing to hear any suggestions you might have.
Did we ascertain whether we had minors attend? It was good when we met
