available. I can update using Adept (when there are updates) or using
Apt via the command line, and it always reverts to one package
available. I have no packages held back (at least apt doesn't tell me

After I got the charge down to fifty percent, the situation remained the
same. The bug would resurface once out of every five times or so when
restarting gdm, but not from boot.

This is the default behaviour of Automatix, it has no sweet way to fail. It has
nothing to do with update manager.
When you installed automatix it broke your repos. It took the good
/etc/apt/sources.list and overwrote them.

I manually changed /var/lib/locales/supported.d/de. When I update
language-pack-de-base that file gets overwritten and all my changes are lost.
That should not happen.
The update should check all files, detect that there have been changes and ask
me whether I want to keep
The build error is fixed with vmware-player-kernel-source 2.6.15
(2.6.15.10-9). Thanks!

Sorry...I totally forgot this bug. The problem is still here. I thought
to be resolved in the last kernel release (2.6.15) but it was for a
workaround I found: I added the line
modprobe -r battery modprobe battery
into the acpid script, just before starting acpi daemon. So I solved the
problem.

Confirming, appears fixed, with 2.14.3-0ubuntu1_i386.deb Dapper update,
yesterday. Crashed first try, probably because Nautilus file browser was
still open, then worked 2nd and subsequent tries.

I've forwarded that upstream as a feature request, I would not be
surprised if they reject it though since they have already a lot of work
on real bugs for the moment and that doesn't look at really feature
since it's easy enough to use the full format:

After booting, if I put an SD card into the flash slot on the laptop, the media
is detected (the light near it flashes) and I'm asked by the KDE Media popup if
I want to mount it. If I do mount it, I can read it fine.
