Attached is a diff I've done that seems to fix the issue for me. I've
squeezed the patches from Gnome bug 128983 into the source from 6.06.
Not sure if it's 100% correct, but may help others who are suffering
from misaligned project plans.

Nope, just ran into this again a week or so ago on edgy... A new
version of mythtv showed up, but the modules for it hadn't been compiled
yet. So I built my own packages of the updated version of the modules,
then a week later when they finally showed up
ah, I have to attach the file _after_ submitting the bug. Come on
people; think _usability_. Geez.
Anyway, I've since dismissed the popup that told me where the crash dump
is, and don't remember the path. Why didn't the thing that generated
the dump also mail it for me? Why do I even have to

Hah, indeed, removing that patch makes the dialog show up again. What
was the original purpose of that patch again? As far as I can research
via google, that is the perfectly proper way to bring up the logout
dialog.

The Ubuntu package has no changes.
The package builds clean in an edgy pbuilder.

The latest version of kdemultimedia in Dapper is still 3.5.2-0ubuntu3,
so no, this has not been fixed in Dapper. (Note that the bug is fixed in
Edgy)

Maybe it's the same issue or a related one but my opl-sa2 doesnt work on dapper
either.
This is a quad boot machine (w98, suse, ubuntu and puppy) and the sound card
works in everything but ubuntu. Mobo is an Intel AL440lx
Sometimes the boot-shut down will show an alsa error message something

Just confirming that I get the same with a Philips Toucam 740K which
worked a treat under dapper. I too get grey in camstream/ekiga etc.
I have the very same camera and I'm also getting this, any news on this
bug?
