Kopete spell checking doesn't work anymore in Edgy. It seems to have
something to do with Kopete 0.12 but I am not sure.

Kopete spell checking
Public bug reported:
I'm using the latest Kubuntu edgy beta. My MSI S260 laptop was running
on battery and the fan would turn on for a second, then off again, then
on for a couple of seconds, then off again, etc. It didn't seem normal
at all, so I rebooted to Windows, where the problem didn't
Just to clarify, I'm not sure if this happens with the adapter plugged
in, and if charging/using the battery has anything to do with it. The
fan is pretty quiet, and there's enough ambient noise not to notice.
Still, this sort of thing can probably break a fan, so I think it should
be fixed before
Hm, I was doing an Edgy update when it happened.

sudo aptitude reinstall kdebase-data kdesu
Then running kdesu adept from the konsole
fix the problem? This was a problem with the earlier packages, but
should be updated now.

Kopete spell checking doesn't work anymore in Edgy
I just started seeing a similar problem, but my output of $ kcmshell
displayconfig is a bit different:

Edgy has firefox 2.0 beta 2. mozilla-livehttpheaders does not work with
this version at all. Tools - Add-ons shows Live HTTP Headers 0.12: Not
compatible with Bon Echo 2.0b2.
As far as I can tell, upstream doesn't have a version compatible with
2.0b2 either.

dapper: does not work with
Public bug reported:
I'm running the latest edgy x86.
Steps to repeat:
1) Open rhythmbox.
2) Plug in iPod
3) Click on iPod in rhythmbox source list
4) Click View... Browse. This will open the browser view.
5) Click on Track. This will organize the song list by track numbers.
6) Close
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xmms
Edgy. Start xmms and double the window size (either by pressing the
small D button to the left or by using the menu). The interface hangs,
i.e. becomes black and unresponsive. The sound keeps playing though.
This did not happen on dapper.

I'm not sure how common php files not starting with ?php are, but when
all I need is a plain HTML page with a small amount of php, the first
?php tag could be any distance from the start of the file.

Public bug reported:
I started having this problem fairly recently.. I have tried changing
the relevant settings in the KDE Components/Session Manager control
panel, with no effect. Any ideas?
