It is similar only that it seems to inhibit installation differentelly.
My workaround is also working so it is indeed possible to change the

installer should prepare the partitions in text mode prior going X as a
last resort.

I've located the bug. A bunch of debugging stuff has been thrown into
drivers/char/drm/i915_dma.c in i915_emit_cmds() and validate_cmd(). It's
nowhere to be found in the git repository, so it's probably a mistake by
the uploader.

You need to find a locale with first_weekday 2 in the LC_TIME section.
Try this:
grep first_weekday /usr/share/i18n/locales/* | grep en_
and you should get ...

P.S: Copy-pasting is a good and easy way of
same problem in edgy eft beta.

MySQL was updated ages ago to a newer version. Furthermore, please
don't mark bugs private when they deal with public issues (in this
cause, a public release of a new upstream version), as it severely cuts
down on the number of people who can see and triage the bug.

I just upgraded with the kernel packages released yesterday
(2006-10-09). I'm running a core 2 duo laptop with an Intel 945GM
graphics card. Previous to this apt-get upgrade Beryl ran beautifully,
now when I activate it my machine is slowed down by thousands of syslog

Too bad, no traces at all. Is there any way to start metacity in more
verbose or debugging mode?

Terribly confused by launchpad, this is the same issue as #65039. Hope this is
in the right place. Please let me know how to get rid of #65039.

The current edgy package has three open security vulnerabilities:
CVE-2006-4031: allows a local user to access a table through a
previously created MERGE table, even after the user's privileges are
revoked for the original table, which might violate intended security
policy.
For the record, my changes to make sure that the backgrounded processes
started from the init script don't spew on stdout (thus breaking debconf
in weird ways) have been merged into Debian by now, and a straight sync
should serve us quite well.

as a follow up to my previous message, it is not necessary to uninstall
assistive related packages. Go to System Preferences Assistive
Technology Preferences and untick the enable assistive technologies

Public bug reported:
I have HP NC6230 laptop with a internal card reader. The reader was
working perfectly under Dapper, whenever I inserted a SD/MMC card, it
used to automatically detect it and mount it. It was also possible to
read/write files to the card (FAT32).

Your argument is very persuasive, Ralf. Philosophically, I'm not
convinced that we should be looking at Egdy from a new user perspective
as much as we did Dapper. In reality, I'm finding Edgy more usable and
with fewer breakages that I experienced with Dapper.
