The passkey-agent.c example source code is now installed under
/usr/share/doc/bluez-utils/examples/ together with a simple Makefile to
compile it if needed. Remember that this is an example code on how to
write a passkey agent. Every desktop environment should provide its own
default passkey

I retested in Dapper.
When logging out the problem is gone.
If I shut down the screen switches to LCD during the shutdown procedure.
If I switch to CRT again the screen switches back to LCD when booting
again. I guess that the last issue is in order, but shouldn't the
shutdown be on the CRT
Ok, this is how I fixed it:
1. backup /var/lib/dpkg/status to a safe location
2. remove all courier entries from /var/lib/dpkg/status (nano it, search=ctrl-w)
3. sudo apt-get upgrade
4. sudo apt-get install courier-imap
I now need to reconfigure courier, but at least it's working again!

For some time now (since dapper) I have not been able to get my thinkpad
to suspend using the Fn+F4 key. Suspending from the context menu from
gnome-power-manager applet works. I can also get the thinkpad to sleep
from the System-Quit menu. The suspend mechnism seems to be

After resuming from hibernate, my screen blanks after about 70 seconds,
despite the normal 10 minutes.
If I restart kdm after resume, it works like with a fresh boot.
Additionally, I cannot figure out where the blank screen gets invoked from.

Ok, here is my Xgl patch. It does not really seem to have any adverse
effects, but is a hack around what is probably a bug in the fglrx
driver.
