Adding export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 to /usr/lib/firefox/firefox
didn't work for me.
However, since flah-plugin crashes under a 16 bit colordepth X session,
editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf and changing the colordepth to 24 solves the
problem for me.

It's not only just print; clicking on a PDF file and loading it in
Konqueror via its KPart gives this exact error too... This didn't happen
until upgrading to 3.5.5 on edgy. So KPDF crashes, and the view changes
to (ViewView Mode) KGhostView which is absolutely inconvenient.

I'm running Ubuntu 6.10 installed from edgy-alternate-i386, built on
20061009. The installation process went well but, when I select System
- Quit... - Hibernate, then the screen goes blank and I get the
following errors:
