I just ran across this yesterday at a LUG event with one of the Linksys
USB wireless key fobs.
As soon as I unplugged it it stopped, and upon plugging it back in it
did nothing.

You need to go into your settings for Keyboard (third menu from the left
in the top bar), Administration or Preferences, seek keyboard. In there
you will set the Numlock on for boot. Pressing Numlock and then
rebooting isn't going to save that setting.

It looks like this bug was mis-filed and was created before Edgy was
released. For the edgy release I mildly reconfigured the download page
and I plan on doing even more modifications before the next release.

I have this same issue with my Microsoft Wireless Laser mouse as well.
However the mouse is so new that xev doesn't pick up any of hte extra
scrollwheels or buttons. My horizontal scroll is mucked as well.

There's nothing special in my /etc/fstab file. Here's the relevant
line:
/dev/hdd/media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
And in addition, other DVDs and CDs don't have this problem. Just that
