My original report was from Edgy with jridell packages of koffice 1.6.0

If I install another usplash theme, e.g. kubuntu-artwork-usplash, the
initrd is correctly update, but when I remove it, to update the initrd
one should run dpkg-reconfigure usplash, or else the kubuntu theme stays

is that my Sony Vaio SZ2MB has two video cards. One 945GM intel and one
nvidia card.
With the nvidia card I have all the 3d acceleration working but with the

I personally think that the Linux community is a very good and friendly

I don't have this exact problem.
If I try to install the -modesetting driver, It tries to uninstall the
xserver-xorg-driver-all package, as it depends on the i810 driver, and
the i810-modesetting removes it. However, it doesn't remove the xorg
package, so I can have the ubuntu-desktop with the

You should never use a kernel compiled in other version in your actual
version.
If you want to test the new kernel (and the new one is 2.6.20-6),
install Feisty and test it, and if you still have problems, then report
a bug.
