I can boot the herd3 desktop cd with 2.6.20-6-generic without problems
though. ls /dev/ shows again hde and hde1..8. being my partitions on my
primary harddrive.

Updated to 1.4.5 today and Amarok will no longer build collection. I am
using MySQL and when i press either rescan or update collection nothing

Which interface to bittornado are you using? I tried

This time, Rhythmbox didn't crash, but it was completely unresponsive.

anymore and system runs stable with same kernel.
