I can assure you that your bug is in konqueror or kaffeine, but not in
the ffmpeg package. The error message you see come from the xine bundled
ffmpeg copy, which has been compiled with xine's CFLAGS, which cause the
stack misalignment. This does not seem to be a problem other this

information for generating PPDs from foomatic-db. So the driver will not
appear in the list of available printer/driver combos when it is not

I'm having the same problem (Edgy and Feisty): the kbluetooth icon disappears
from the system tray after resume from suspend. One workaround was to add
bluetooth to STOP_SERVICES in /etc/default/acpt-support. When I do that, I
always have an error message on resume, but the icon is there.

Looks like the problem comes from this (from console output) :
First instance:
video_out_xv: using Xv port 73 from adaptor ATI Radeon Video Overlay for
hardware colorspace conversion and scaling.
Second instance:
video_out_xv: Xv extension is present but I couldn't find a usable yuv12 port.
I have a similar problem, the only difference being that it sometimes
work, sometimes does not.

I agree with that. The problem is that the way apt deals with partial
files. Maybe a practical solution is like making it to remove the
partial data of Packages.gz every time the update process fails with
similar reasons. And probably, an additional task to comment out the
repositories that do not

i wanted to use compiz with the ubuntu included mesa drivers. i'm a linux
beginner so i looked for tutorials. the only ones i could find for
installing compiz + aiglx referred to gandalfn's repositories.
if you could give me a link to a how to that uses the official compiz, i'll
try it.

I had the same problem with my new Dell Latitude D620, the reason - my
mistake, i force shutdown Edgy when it was in the process of shutting
down. Used this guide to unplug the coin cell battery. I had to go into
the bios and change the FASTIR to com2 after that.

i installed feisty and still the same behavior after a clean install and
no additional packages (except thunderbird); beagle was not installed!

It looks more like a crash of the kernel driver for your wifi card...
I have just experienced a similar problem, I will test tomorow if removing
network-manager solves it.
Uneducated guess: if it is just a driver problem, blacklisting r8187 should
