- evolution got confused - when I released the mouse button, it did not drop

The synaptic bug might be a different problem. To attach a light crash
file you can install libglib2.0-0-dbg libgtk2.0-0-dbg synaptic-dbgsym
and run apport-retrace -c file.crash, it'll update it with a debug
backtrace and drop the dump

That is not a GNOME bug, stop opening random tasks please. Whatever
applications are doing xorg should not freeze, that's probably a video
driver bug exposed by what gdm is doing

This only seems to affect Java gui apps run on the local X server on
feisty. Java gui apps running on feisty displaying to remote X servers
work fine. Java gui apps running on other computers (non-feisty..edgy
for example) displaying to feisty's X server also work fine.

The essence of this is that whilst you are looking into the history the output
continues into the future (the scrollbar slider moving rapidly upto the top).
Once you are looking at a screenful of data that is no longer in the scrollback
history then you hit bug

In feisty you can now mount hard disk partitions (see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MountAllLocalFilesystems), also on the live CD.
Thus this can be regarded as fixed now.

Cristian, when members of the kernel team report a bug like this against
