ok this is very odd but in between these two emails this problem disappeared

I have the same problem with feisty at the moment. Everything but SMB-
Printer and Other are greyed out.

This bug has been giving me headaches since Dapper. I could work around
the bug by adding font substitutions in qtrc in Dapper and Edgy, but
apparently this does not work anymore in Feisty. I really hope this bug
gets fixed very soon!

Hello All,
I'm unable to import photos after my latest update. I don't know if
this is a related bug to this one but have very similar symptoms .
What is happening: The camara is recogniced but I cant' import because I get:

Just thought I would add that the 'Safe Graphics' mode of the Kubuntu
Feisty Fawn Beta 1 Live CD works on my PC, with the same hardware. The
nv driver still does not like my GeForce 6600 card, but I tend to
install the proprietary drivers anyway for full 3D acceleration.
