I believe the delay in displaying the properties is related to the amount of
time it takes to build the list of available drivers as the delay is the same
as when adding a new printer?
Would it be possible to cache the driver list so that this delay disappears of
at least display the same

At least for the server there's an alternative upstream source: the
FreeNX implementation, which itself is based on NoMachine's code. It
recently released a version, which supports the 2.1 version of
NoMachine's nxclient. I installed it successfully on kubuntu 6.10.

I've never entirely understood what the word driver means in a Linux
context. Neither of those shows up when I do lsmod. I feel pretty confident
I don't use nvidia, but I've never heard of the other.

reinstalled last night.
There was basically NO partition table left on /dev/sda.
gpart had fatal errors trying to read it.

Okay, some attachments...
lspci with one v in the -v.
This problem occurs over time, about 10-15 minutes of heavy use is
enough to bring it on. CPU is not maxed (this is a dual core -- neither
CPU core is maxed or even over about 5% or so when this happens). Yet,
the cursor locks up, windows
dmesg, who knows, might be useful. Anyone have any ideas about how I
might go about isolating this bug or making the report more useful or
informative?
