I can confirm this bug in the release of Feisty. I have a D-Link G122
USB stick Rev C1, and the rt2570 gets loaded which makes gdm go funny,
like when I type in my username and password the key gets 'stuck' and
will repeat the input with the stuck key until you press backspace.

so far. That includes not just 6.10, but both beta and stable versions
of 7.04 (Feisty Fawn.) I thought I remembered seeing it on 6.06, but it
has been a while, so I'm not sure.

"noacpi nolacpi" had no different results. The ubuntu wiki that
screenshots can help you go.
I cannot even boot ubuntu, so I am unable to access the terminal.

I think I noticed this problem as early as 6.06 in fact. I find it very
annoying because I prefer ReiserFS by a wide margin (I've had much
better results with it.) Thing is, 7.04 has gone official now and both

I have an IPod 30 gig and a 320 gig seagate hard drive with two
partitionsattached to my machine (Kubuntu Feisty) via USB. All
partitions are HFS+. Neither device is being mounted automatically. Both
of them mounted automatically under Ubuntu Dapper. I also have a 250 gig

Oh yes, I'm using Gimmie (sudo aptitude install gimmie) which is the
different colored menus. It's an applet for gnome-panel.
The only third party package is the nvidia binary drivers (even that
from the Feisty repos)-- everything else is Feisty Fawn.
I will try to reproduce it on a single monit
I can confirm the black screen on log out using the resricted driver
with an ati radeon xpress 200m.
Editing /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf so AlwaysRestartServer=true is a valid
workaround. I cannot speak to issues with hibernation but can also
second the fact that this is a bug that was introduced some t
fixed the blurry issue with vesa driver. It was just a resolution issue.
gnome thought I was using 1600x1200 but apparently my vesa bios only has
modes up to 1280x1024. changing that control panel setting fixed that
issue. The fglrx issue still stands however.

I see where the problem lies. When the installer was going through the
partitioning step, the hard disk where root will be mounted was detected
at "/dev/sdd", not "/dev/sda", thus the kboot.conf file that is
installed has root as "root=/dev/sdd1" instead of "root=/dev/sda1".

I solved this for Totem Movie Player by doing this,
Open your terminal , type gstreamer-properties and under Video Tab
,under Video Plugin choose X Window Syste, (No Xv).
Now movies get played in Totem.
But in other players like VLC, still it not playing and I tried

Yep, I reported this bug some time ago while beta testing feisty before
the release.
You can just remove the rt61 module and that's it. If you try with rmmod
or modprobe -r you will get errors with both.
