I'm using Kubuntu v7.04, just updated it and running on kernel version
2.6.20-15 (386).
Everytime I try to load toshiba_acpi by executing the modprobe
toshiba_acpi command in the console i get:

Hey Guys Update !
as I said I have two hard disk and a DVD-ROM and a CD-RW
I un-pluged the CD-RW and the windows Hard Disk .
and I installed the ubuntu fiesty sucessfully, but the problem is , now
when I plug the CD-RW or windows Hard Disk (which all my important
files are there) i get the same e

I can confirm. I have re-enabled libpam-keyring, and it's working fine
again. This was caused by the decision upstream to lock the keyring on
resume, which has been reverted (or so I understand).

this seems to have been resolved long time ago. the one thing that is
still not working however is automatic dimming of the lcd by the gnome-
power-manager. I can dim by using the Fn keys but g-p-m is not able to
do this. seems to try using another backend (acpi?).

Yes it worked. Perhaps someone should implement better notifications in
the GUI that things are still running smoothly. It took waiting a long
time and then I had to disable some custom apt sources that were
interfering.

I wanted to replace a "borked" beryl process from VT1 with "DISPLAY=:1 kwin
--replace".
After pressing Enter I've realized however that it should have been
"DISPLAY=:0" and pressed Ctrl-C.
kwin then segfaulted.
