It is neccersary for me to use /boot/vmlinux initrd=/boot/initrd.img
root=/dev/sda1 to be able to boot up ububtu properly, howver it still
doesnt, there seems to be a problem with the gui, using a component
cable i get purple flcikers across the screen with a hint of the ubuntu
logo, using my hdmi

Failing that, enabling portaudio in jackd would be another option.
Either way, it would enable realtime effects in Audacity, which is the

[feisty] liferea icon in
same situation here with a 128 MB memory stick which i connect to feisty
through my digital camera. the memory stick has only a single fat16
partition formatted by the camera itself, so i agree that this is not
related to the multiple partitions. it also shouldn't be related to
permissions,

Running feisty on a laptop with a Synaptics touchpad. After installation
of feisty, everything works fine.
The touchpad has a 4-way scroll button in the middle of the two standard
buttons. Tapping on the touchpad is interpreted as a click or double
So you installed the grup on that partition and it did work. I haven't
tryed yet, but i have some doubts about it. I dont know if i can keep
the win xp aswell. Could you?
By the way i tried the hack on page 2 of the other thread and it didnt
work. It seemed that i did something wrong.

I wasn't able to confirm this with the herd-4, and I haven't seen any
