lspci -v says the USB interface is thus:

I have exactly the same problem here (Xubuntu 7.04, Thunderbird 1.5.0.12).
So yes, it is still an issue for at least some people.
And no, I'm not using a different language pack with Thunderbird.

I can confirm this too, on two laptops and one desktop machine, where
i'm attempting to connect via service-discovery-applet to an in-house
site on a ubuntu edgy, it used to work but now i get the error message
described above.

I'v mount a remote AIX ftp directory to local.
Commands of ls,cat,du can work well , but when i edit a file use vi (vim7.0),
the vim screen frozen and i can't use the mounted direcotry any more.
I had to remout the ftp directory.

Running latest gutsy if I modprobe kvm, all is okay, but when modprobing
kvm_intel (on the console) I get a kernel panic, caps lock light flashes
at me and the machine is locked up.

Found that this is a problem with /sbin/ipw3945d-2.6.20-16-generic (or
2.6.20-15).
When the computer is waked up after being suspend, sometimes the intel 3945
