I can confirm this bug, but this is not related to a hidden network.
Instead, while the ipw3945 is performing the auth handshake to install a WPA
connection,
Knetworkmanagers times out the connection, wrongly thinking it has failed the

Would modifying /etc/init.d/atd be good enough solution? Check if the
spool directories are empty and if they are then do not start the

It's running Dapper right now, should I upgrade it to Feisty?
The problem occured with the i810 driver at first, used for the onboard
video on the mainboard. The screen would just go black. I could ssh into
the box fine CPU usage would settle after a while.

I noticed some lines were commented out in /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit:

Turned on Desktop Effects and had to enable the NVIDIA accelerated graphics
driver
.When I do this xorg.conf changes from nv to nvidia_driver
get a requester says;
Please run desktop effects again after restarting
That would match my theory that the oom message is a symptom not where the
root cause is.

Yes, it is still occurring. It is related to the GTK stuff that is
breaking everything. Kind of stinks that GTK would break a KDE app
though, thanks to Flash :)
