Package ubuntu-xen-server and ubuntu-xen-desktop both depend on

ipw3945 is slow and unreliable to point of not being usable.

commenting out the stylus, cursor and eraser devices made the x error
messages vanish. but oo still crashes. even when I turn off xinerama,
that some programs have trouble with.

There seem to be two different bugs here. The one which is assigned
upstream is related to changing physical location and network speed not
returning to normal when one moves back to a higher speed location. This
one also seems to be fixed by the iwpriv eth1 set_mode command.

I had the same problem in Gutsy, I can confirm this as looking at
/var/log/syslog I noticed a bunch of errors regarding the eth1
(wireless) device. Personally I did not apply any patches indicated in
this page, I just added ipw3945 and ieee80201 as modules with forced
removal and reinsertion. It
