I've just tested cutpaste from Firefox to OpenOffice and everthings
works fine. It makes no difference which option I choose at Preferences
- Content - Fonts Colors - Advanced - Default Character Encoding,

Switching off the animations plugin did NOT solve it. I've had two

I removed the file in question ( moved it to /etc/udev so that it is not

The delay of the desktop happens to me, as well (it didn't happen in Feisty,
