This is for sure not a problem of Gutenprint. It seems that the kernel
does not report the presence of your printer. Or perhaps UDEV is not
creating the device file. The printer driver (Gutenprint) is only a
filter which converts PostScript to the printer's language, it does not
do anything with th

Just to add that this new kernel is quite noticeably zippier on my dual
Xeon emt64 system. Nice bonus! Linus must have done something right
between 22 and 24 ;-)
