I experience the same problem at times, but for a known reason -
sometimes an application makes a pop-up dialog (like from the
notification area), and that forces the game out of fullscreen. After
that, I have the full control of the keyboard, but not the mouse -
making getting back into the game

Isn't zpkg a moribund tool? Does this mean that it is unlikely that
anybody is going to fix this so that building zope.interface from the
zope3 tarball comes out with useful version numbers?
I would really like for zope.interface in Hardy Heron to have a
meaningful version number in the standard

the package has indeed changed , i've just upgraded to 64bit hardy and jack
seems to be disabled.
i was able to forceably re-enable it by patching the debian/rules file and
rebuilding but it is very
unstable to the point of being unusable.
