I can't be sure (how I hate CVS) but it looks like development release
7.9.9 added a patch for autoprobing two weeks ago. With a scant two
weeks to go until release, you'd have a hard time arguing that the risk
to breaking wacom to bring in auto detection patches can be mitigated.
If anyone's
Can you confirm this problem still exists and does it happen at 2 or
more minutes. I'm thinking this could be a limit imposed by your OWA
admin.

Public bug reported:
The current daily-live cd for PowerPC (20080413) does not boot without
the video=ofonly option on my G3 iMac (slotloading). After the message
Loading, please wait... it just stops with a ticking noise from the
cdrom drive.
** Affects: ubuntu
Importance: Undecided
Testing using a telnet client to attempt TCP connections reveals the following:
- A remote system cannot connect. The connection appears to be passively
refused.
- The remote system's IP address appears in /var/log/messages with an
'INVALID' message similar to that given above.
I see the same with the 20080413 PowerPC live cdrom. I fixed it by
removing the line:
Option CorePointer
from /etc/X11/xorg.conf and restarting the X server.
