the bug is still not fixed and broke my upgrade to 8.04 hardy.
After installing a fresh new hardy both the fresh install worked and the
upgrade worked, too.
I suspect that a second swap partition was causing the problems, as this is the
only thing I changed in the old system.

I never test dav, but I have news:
- open nautilus
- davs://server1.wolf.intern/downloads
- username and Passwort prompt is comeing
- put it in and press OK
- than an error is comeing (screenshot)
- but I get an bookmark to davs://server1.wolf.intern and it still work without

I have ASUS A7N8X motherboard with same audio controller. And I also hear this
background noise. Noise became noticeable in Feisty, as far as I remember.

When laptop goes standby (suspend to ram), no matter via menu or via lid
closing, it does it ok -- the power led starts blonking indicating
standby mode. But when key is pressed or lid opened, it do something
like shutdown process -- harddisk stops (audible), and
I had found this bug was cause by the gpu geforce 6150 with nvidia driver.
I temporary solve this problem by switch to xserver-nv driver. this bug is same
as #218743.

Correction: The package from intrepid just does not expose the crashes.
The icon in the notification area is still fragmented after running Psi
some time. The fragmentation is not deterministic, but varies in
patterns and time of occurence. So backporting intrepid's version is not
a real fix.

I have noticed this problem since I switched from Feisty to Gutsy. I do
not suspend my computer, but just close the lid (it goes blank) and go
somewhere else (ie a cafe) and open back up, the old wireless
connections are still showing. They still show (and nm-applet tries to
connect to) the old

Cduce Depends On Non-Existant Package
I just noticed that the package was merged and uploaded by Mario. I haven't
checked if he has actually included all the changes in my debdiff. The
changelog doesn't indicate that all the changes have been included.
I hope this was accidental and unintentional.

I get the same error on a usb drive but not on any other place in my
computer (ie the ext3 and ntfs drives).

Simply by adding '-s' to the gvfs-fuse-daemon arguments (disable multi-
threaded operation) I am able to hammer away with complete reliability!
I do not notice any loss in performance. In the interim, I have renamed
/usr/lib/gvfs/gvfs-fuse-daemon to /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfs-fuse-daemon.real

It doesn't look like the patches have been backported to Hardy (I'll
include the upstream git commit id's below). However, they do appear to
be available in the upcoming Intrepid kernel. Care to maybe give the
Intrepid kernel a test? It was most recently rebased with the upstream
I also have the same problem in Hardy with an opteron 165 and an ATI
card. /var/log/pm-suspend.log doesn't show anything abnormal. My swap
partition is correctly enabled (both before and after hibernate).
