I am having this same issue under KDE3, after having installed, and
uninstalled KDE4. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling KDE3, but
the problem persists.
After I login to a KDE session after about a minute or so, KDM all of a
sudden goes to full CPU usage.
This is also on a Vostro, but I

I have a fujitsu t4215 laptop running hardy 8.04. The fan never comes
on. /proc/acpi/fan is empty. I can get the fan to run on low if I boot
with acpi=off, but then my stylus doesn't work. Acpi seems to work fine
for my batteries, but it always says

This one got me too--Evolution 2.22.2 using POP3/SSL. I configured it
to Leave messages on server and Delete after 9 day(s) but I have

1) Turn on Internal Mic
2) Set Input Sources to Internal Mic
3) Record something through the internal mic
4) Turn on the Mic and Line in
5) Set all Input Sources as Mic
6) Adjust capture and digital (under recording) til it sounds decent
