I have a WG511 v2, I use ndiswrapper and marvell driver in Ubuntu Hardy 8.04
and it works correctly only in an unprotcted wifi net.
With WPA on, it's impossible to associate with the AP.

Ok, after I recovered my system, the intrepid cryptsetup works
partially. Unfortunately I can't really tell what the important change
was. I booted from a rescue system, reinstalled the hardy cryptsetup,
used the opportunity to change some of my device labels and cleaned up
/etc/fstab,
open office starts fine if i use the menu to launch it and then open my
files. I just can not click on my files to have open office fully launch
--it starts to launch then blanks off of the screen.

I think it is REALLY URGENT that a general fix get out there for all Ubuntu
users. I (and everyone else) am wildly promoting 8.04 as the Vista
alternative... and it strikes me as plain silly to not fix this problem pronto.

I've also tested Bryce's non-xcb libs and they also fix my Matlab
issues completely. They also fix my Maple issues, which is reasonable as
both packages share a Java foundation in their GUI. I bet this fixes

I got the same problem on a desktop with GeForce 6800 with XFCE4 and

I've been using Fedora 9 since last month on my desktop, and it still
doesn't work. Anyway, I've bought a new laptop and I use Hardy on it, and it
doesn't work either, so it's not a hardware problem.

to use KVM, but I'm not sure whether KVM or QEMU is used at the moment.
My system does support KVM.

Hello guys, accidentally i disabled the DBUS service via Places Admin
Services and now everytime in log in i have to start it manually, but
that is not the problem...
When i start it manually, i can access the Services menu again but the

still no change? btw: last automatic update destroyed my running 7.10
server system (updates included new kernel and new x server...). time to
say goodbye, perhaps next version will run better, but for me only in a
vm.. i dont want to install a new system every 3 months or spend hours
to revert
