I also just upgraded from Dapper to Hardy, and am experiencing this.
Long URLs only get their first line recognized. Oddly, sometimes it
works fine. If I paste a long URL into vi or the command line, the
whole thing is recognized. If I cat a file with a long URL, the whole
thing is recognized.

Some don't seam to now how to compile from source (debian/ubuntu way) ;)

I have the same/similar problem and I DO have 2 drives (the second/slave
one is my CD writable one).
I had a similar problem in Gutsy but upon freshly installing Hardy I

The dietlibc-dev dependency can be safely removed. The rules files has
a provision where if dietlibc is present, it is used to make
e2fsck.static somewhat smaller in size --- from 1036k to 816k, for a
savings of over 20%. But it is strictly optional, and perhaps a relic
from the days when
I no longer think this is a bug, but is more KNetworkManager's decision
making as it might have changed from 7.10 to 8.04. Once I took the port
replicator out of the mix, I get dhcp perfectly. The behavior was
different in 7.10. I got dhcp automatically though the port replicator

Installed without lvm. Configured system for working probably, then tried to
start with lvm.
Boot fails and falls into command shell. dm_mod is loaded, checked with lsmod.
The devices for lvm are missing.

Here's how I fixed the gdm resolution problem on my system (running ubuntu 8.04
32-bit desktop).
In a shell...
1) xrandr -q
This showed the device name used for my monitor (VGA-0) and available
resolution modes. The
one I wanted (1280x1024) was included in the list.

I intentionally left the Maintainer field alone - its my package in
debian, and I would like to recieve bug reports for it directly from
Ubuntu. Can you please undo the DebianMaintainerField change?

This is the vcs address for the driver.
It's preconfigured for 1024x600 screens but is the best i found for 800x480
ones such as mine (Gigabyte U60 UMPC).

FTBFS on AMD64/IA-64 due to printf error

This corrects a FTBFS for libnet-ssleay-perl on amd64/ia64. The test suite
builds a program using %d when it needs %ld to work properly on 64-bit
architectures. The supplied patch corrects this.
