By the way, I can add music files to a music CD project just fine.
Adding the same file to a data project crashes brasero like above.

I've added a new user to ensure a default configuration. Then, after
holding down the Shift key for 8 seconds, the PC speaker beeped and a
dialog appeared to confirm I wanted to enable slow keys. So, maybe our

I tested the 2.6.24-20-generic kernel and it does not solve my hang.
Interesting tidbit, I could not update the kernel using my ATI 8500 video card.

I had bug 254939 before, but switching with ctrl+alt+F1 and sudo apt-get
update/upgrade fixed that issue. I now have this different problem.
My earlier issue with the keys other than the up arrow have currently
disappeared (during this session, without updating), but Ins and Del are
still dead.

I killed the /usr/sbin/locale-gen script that invoked the localedef
command and this caused the upgrade to continue but with some "Coud not
install package dependency problem - leaving unconfigured"
messages.
I had to kill this script about 3 more times. The upgrade continued to

I have no doubt that moving the JFS-related entry before the VFAT entry
