Installing using the Alternate CD (Intrepid Alpha 5) is working
correctly here. However, I cannot boot into the freshly installed system
after that. It ends up in Busybox again.
I tried to boot into Intrepid using the 'recovery' mode. This has pretty
much the same result, but gives a lot more info

On boot, sometimes the mouse pointer is stuck and won't move unless the
mouse is plugged out and back in, and even then it will only work for a
few seconds until it's stuck again. It's Apple's Mighty Mouse. I dual-
boot OS X, and the problem only seems to appear when I have
Intrepid is not stable enough on the Armada to check out the ESS
install. That was the subject of a different bug...
I was able to install a minimum 8.04 system using ubuntu server; I can
apt-get the rest; the Kubuntu live disk just blanks the screen in both
8.04 and intrepid.

I tested my 8.04 amd64 box with the 2.6.27-2 kernel + RTL8187 USB wlan
interace. The kernel I used was taken from Ubuntu 8.10 section in
launchpad. Unfortunately the problem still remains. The wlan0 interface
