I tested both intrepid-desktop-amd64.iso and intrepid-desktop-i386.iso,
7 times and 6 times respectively. I could not find any problem with
realtek NIC driver.

Just tried the 2.6.27-3 kernel with 8.10 Alpha5 64bit (updates from this
morining) on a Intel DG945GCLF Board network problems are back (was
working most times with 2.6.26-5, but not on every boot). Network
manager says network is connected ok, ifconfig shows its got an IP but i

I just want to remind the devs that this bug showed up for the first
time when compiz was added to ubuntu. this bug did not exist prior to

I appreciate your workaround Stefan, and it worked for me for a few
days, however today it doesn't, /etc/fmodprobe.d/orcedeth is still there
with the options line and I tried rebuilding the initramfs again but no

There should be no difference between rc6 and the kernel I supplied (at least
