Hi! I have the same problem with wpasuplicant and ndiswrapper. Renice
often works, but not every time and it is uncomfortable with
Networkmanager. So I searched in the source.
My conclusion: After the last handshake packet from the access point
has arrived, the computer sends its last packet and
I'm closing this bug. Although it would have been nice for Ubuntu 8.04
to install latex-xft-fonts, this seems impractical as you said
especially since Ubuntu tries to avoid changing older packages as much
as necessary.

had been applied.
Yesterday, 2008-09-19, my devices were:

Just as a side note, I have the same problem however I use Arch Linux
and KDE4.1. The F11 solution also works for me. It seems this is a
specific firefox problem. I also changed my composite manager from
Compiz to KWin and the problem remains.

I encountered this same error, I believe. I selected to install a large
number of packages, including sun java 6 and tomcat. Tomcat install
failed when it tried to run the post install script to start the
service.
I seem to have lost the upgrade log since I clicked that this was the
same bug as al

1. Waking the system from suspend to disk mode does NOT trigger this
error.
2. On a normal boot, I can stop the boot process AGAIN at any time by
just releasing the key, as long as the “kernel event driver” (IIRC) is
