Why close it? If you use firefox 3 you can see the autoscrolling icon is ugly.
It's probably caused by themes but sometimes it's not.
In linux it's not consistent because in windows firefox autoscrolling icon is
good, and does not change through themes.

I've tried this twice and got the same result.
Samba shares on the ubuntu desktop are set up and others can access them
fine. -- Installing wine makes the shares unaccessible and deleting wine
returns things to normal.
Not sure what this could be, or how to check deeper.

I am now testing Kubuntu 8.10 Beta, and I see the same problems. I can
go from font size 9 to 10 to 11, and the increase in font size is
uniform. From 11 to 12, it is suddenly huge. Unfortunately, size 12 is
my preferred size, and the way it currently is, it is too big. Size 11
is too small. Why is
