I have the same problem, but with different keys (in particular, the
left and down arrows no longer work. xev reports them as different
keys). The remedy is to switch the keyboard layout, with System ->
Preferences -> Keyboard. That works for a little while, and then I have
to do it again.

I can not get F5Networks firepass SSLVPN to install in Firefox 3. I was able
to get it to work with Firefox 2 in Hardy.
Now I can not install Firefox 2 because of a dependency with libhunspell.

I have an Acer 9920 with an 4965 chipset. This machine has a kill switch
which is a toggle and it defaults to ON (killed) always. I have the same
problem: after booting the killswitch is always ON. Toggling it in 8.04
would enable the wireless properly. In 8.10 nothing happens. No state

I can also confirm the problem with the ubuntu intrpeid beta release on an
HP/Compaq 6715s. The system is very very slow.
Ubuntu Hardy with 2.6.24-19 kernel worked fine but the wlan wasn't working, so
I installed intrepid where wlan works now but everything is to slow :-( I think

Your power issues are interesting.
The motherboard I have done most testing on, has in the past had power issues,
which were mainly cured by getting a high quality PSU.
So, turning off power management, (the fix that worked best for me) probably
avoids stressing an under-powered USB controller.

I actually think the problem might be removing my fglrx graphics driver and
replacing it with open source ati, because fglrx wasn't working as of the time
of upgrade to intrepid I will get back to you on this. I found more info at:

I can confirm this bug on intrepid too.
I think resetting the zoom would be a bad idea, as I have to change it every
time. BTW, I had the problem with ubuntuforums.org, I zoomed in one thread, and
all other was zoomed too. So if there is a way to induce page specific
zoom,instead of site specifi

I’m running intrepid on a Thinkpad T23. The irda driver is nsc-ircc.
irdadump only prints packets being sent. When I try to send data from a

I'm testing Intrepid alpha 6 and the problem persists. When hit the main
gnome button, thats the ring button that contains all applications,
system and places it takes almost 3 seconds in load the menu... it

Confirmed as said in Martin Pitt's post. I installed the nVidia driver
and updates. Then that broke the applet. After restarting the session (I
chose to do that by rebooting my machine since I had to anyway) I can
launch the program without issue. Still a bug, but not a bad one. /th/
