I have the same bug on Hardy. Using single monitor. NVidia driver version 177.
Clicking the Leave Full Screen button does nothing except make the button
react as normal.
In the view menu, the full screen option is greyed out.
This happens as soon as you either open Totem from Applications/Sound

like i wrote in my case the preload-trick does not work, i always get a
green picture. i tested with latest intrepid: cheese, camorama, ekiga
2+3 and skype. with or without preload - none of the programs work.

Binary package hint: hotkey-setup
This morning I initiated an upgrade via Synaptic and after the hotkey-
setup had been upgraded to version 0.1-23ubuntu6, the volume hotkeys on
my Sony Vaio VGN-A71M quit working. Actually, the graphical overlay
(volume) still works but

I have Alt-F1..Alt-F4 mapped to switch to workspaces 1..4 and I have
IRC/mail/web applications on different workspaces, so I switch back and
forth quite a lot.
Within the last few days I am seeing that quite a lot of the times I
switch workspace,
