Well my point was that I had not configure lp and was not using --lp
mode, but this check still kicked in. ISTR it used to work without
setting up LP.
I don't see the point of the --lp flag is the default behavior requires

there is not any devices in the dropdown list (File-Open Viewer...).

It seems to have disappeared for me in Intrepid. At least I'm able to
use laptop-mode, and then my disk heads can park. Can we close it or are
there people still experiencing this?

What exactly is the fix for this, I have fully patched, and upgraded to 8.10,
and still have no livedrive on my audigy 2 platinum pro.
It would be nice to get it working.
