Sorry, I know this is probably awkward for you and not entirely what you
wanted. We're slightly stymied by release schedules here and the
difficulty of manually merging translations for 50+ packages. Although I
know it isn't perfect, it's really a lot more practical to let them flow
in naturally

many thousands related comments, suggestions, arguments in the last many
years but yours was the first one which had a good point (case 3).
Theoretically you're not right but practically you are: the damage was
already done when
Samba and smbfs were updated yesterday (1/29/2009) from proposed and then I
could mount the storage folders
They mounted slow, sometimes had to try twice but they mounted and I could move

This memory leak happens for me too. knetworkmanager is consistently the
largest process by memory at 105MB res and growing. My laptop is often
in suspend and I've restarted knetworkmanager several times (to free
memory), so I cannot say how long it took to consume this much memory.

On a aspire one with kubuntu 8.10 and kde 4.2 from the ppa, and with non-ubuntu
kernel 2.6.28, everything works, after changing the master channel from PCM to
Master. If I have the master channel as PCM there is no mute option.
I'll test later on a fujitsu amilo pi 1505, with kubuntu's kernel.
For me this bug is still unchanged, volume up/down work but display
always show 0%
Mute still does not work, display shows 0% but nothing changes.

It is working good on Ubuntu 2.6.27-9.19-generic.

... okay, that's basically what I did. Rhythmbox just seems to hang and
doesn't comeback to life unless I kill it and restart it. How can I
collect useful information about this problem?
Should I run the backtrace while Rhythmbox is frozen?
