I had to compile manually the packages, since Intrepid has the minimum
version of svn as 1.5.1. I added the Hardy repository to be able to
install an older version, it worked... but my commits failed at random

Well, of course it won't install, just because Gears' manifest doesn't
have any references to Prism. But if you'll edit .xpi file as shown at
http://douglasjmeyer.blogspot.com/2008/09/google-gears-in-prism.html,
you'll be able to install it. And it works. For me, at least

its not in xscreensavers package it is in xscreensaver-extra package. If you
dont want to use the screensaver than dont use it, but since there are hundreds
of screensavers in Ubuntu why would you use one that has sexually explict
images if it bothers you. That is not really a cause to remove
