I have been getting the same error for some time - I continue to boot from the
last working version of the amd64 kernel (2.6.24-21). Whenever I do try and
boot from the latest kernel version (currently a 2.6.27-11) I get the
following error at boot:

quality is rather low at 1M (41/100) and increases to 57/100 when I set
the rate to 54M. My guess is that the drivers sees a low link quality

I just visited freedesktop.org for vsync. Apparently, they don't even
know what it is. Nor do they seem willing to find out what it is or why
people want it.

Confirmed on Dell Latitude E6500 with nvidia Quadro 160 NVS.
The kernel update works when disabling nvidia driver, problem reoccurs
when enabling nVidia driver again.

In KUbuntu Jaunty widgets are drawn wrongly in some styles.
Or, to say more precisely: initially (when window just shown) they are drawn
right, but then (when I focus them, or mover mouse over them, or type into
them, etc) they are refreshing/redrawn in
Yep, still present in Jaunty 5 alpha! The light stays off regardless of
on/off status of wifi card. It's quite tragic.

I have something to add... I have done testing with compiz disabled...
i move a dark window against a light background rapidly, and i get
tearing...

Some contacts that I registered the birthday date always shows in the

I'm focusing on the via-rhine issue as you know. I'm confused by your
report that via-rhine failed after resume on Hardy even though acpi-
support was unloading the module. That doesn't seem to make sense since
there should be no difference between boot-time loading
It's still not working. If I use either the Nautilus Send-To or the Bluetooth
Applet Send-To I get the 'org.openobex.Error.Connection.Refused' error. Drag
and drop is still fine.

How does it get them? Human uses the murrine engine - if I replace the Human
theme in /usr/share/themes/Human with Human-Clearlooks, the session menu has
