Not solved with the tonight update.
I noticed that when I press, after ~5seconds the second does not respond
anymore.
I can move the mouse, but the desktop, the bar and everything else, does not
respond.
Obviously the KDE session is not saved, if I shutdown with the shutdown command.

Before trying your solution, my TV-card worked on the 2.6.27-7-generic kernel,
but not for the next ones.
Now my TV-card is working on the last 2.6.27-13-generic kernel, so it is
wonderful !

Cannot retreive share list if samba client
my system (ubuntu 9.04) crashed when logging out. I only logged out as
my sound card was skipping badly and alsa driver kept failing and a
message saying reverting to pulseaudio kept popping up. After each mp3
played any application i used would have to have the task ended and
application restarted

reboot there is no splash screen. Same happens when you reboot or

I already checked grub and usplash.conf and everything seems ok.
I remember there was a usplash package earlier when I upgraded.

This just happened to me in a VM. Alas, cut/paste wasn't available. But I WAS
able to
scroll back and get the ENTIRE back trace as a series of images.
Start with afs-oops-9.png and work your way forward.
