Since I currently cannot update my laptop to latest packages (especially
gnome-settings-manager) due to network-access being almost unavailable.
Therefore I cannot really test this. But from my experience with bugs of
this sort it is usually the patched applications being at fault and not
ubuntu 9.04 alpha amd64, ext4
I play World Of Goo 1.4 and evry time I press Quit it stopped working
and the only way to return to Ubuntu was 'hard' reboot (turning the
power switch off).
So, one time after such reboot I lost my save file from the game, Pidgin
displayed 'can't read buddy.lst' and
I've checked today's update and problem is still there :( Can I help
with some info?

even provided. You had some initial issues with the patch, but after

I am also having very slow video/graphics performance using Alpha5 in my

I got a beautiful patch by commenting out a faulting g_free()... ;)
Now nautilus is starting without crash.
It is not a real patch (I do not have enough knowledge for it), but it could
help to find the real cause.
The patch was build against the source package brasero-2.25.92.

I now get no sound at all.
I am not sure where to direct my energy on trying to correct this problem. It
would be nice to have sound on this computer.
I have PulseAudio and I have no idea of how to set up and use it. Maybe
that is the problem, I just don't know.
