I was mistaken, turning off the power management did not solve the bug - it
still freezes. However, I found that turning off the acpi wakeup capable
device solves the problem. In Kubuntu Intrepid, Jaunty, and even in Debian
(running now), the wireless behaves the same - it works, than it
to run dnsmasq as invoked automatically by network manager (since it
doesn't use the dbus methods in the ubuntu build), you have to configure
dnsmasq to only listen on interfaces which network manager will not
need.

I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS/PCI/SSE2, and use the latest nvidia-
glx-180 drivers (180.37). I'm not quite sure about the specific monitor
model, but it's has a 1280x800 pixel resolution.
I tried loading a video sized 1280x720, and noticed that pressing 1
wouldn't resize the window

Hello, I dist-upgraded to Jaunty 9.04 (currently Beta - kernel
2.6.28-11-generic - i386) and the sound problem has been fixed. Suspend
now works as expected with pci=nomsi.

I don't know how to proceed. I did rmmod the wifi driver rt73usb and
rt2x00usb and the script ran without problems! Also manually. I read
that network drivers are removed automatically, where to inquire?

I'm also suffering from the same issue (slow hd i/o).

Later I noticed that I's using xfs filesystem, so the results are not
comparable. But with deadline scheduler
