EBS volume requires that the acpiphp module be loaded. Unfortunately,
the kernel and modules are not installed in the root filesystem, which

A note on the trash config module. Placing the trash module inside

I'm running Jaunty with the latest updates as of today on a Toshiba
Tecra M8 and using the volume wheel causes the notification window to go
crazy. If I change to another terminal, with ctrl-alt-f1 for example,
and then return to the graphical interface, everything works again
Try having the following script running on a terminal window before you
launch cheese.

If your computer is anything like mine, cheese will behave much better
when that script is running.
Without that script running, initializing the camera takes so long that

release of the newer upcoming Jaunty Jackalope 9.04? If you haven't
tested with Jaunty, it would be great to know if this workaround is

Version 0.14.2 is available in jaunty, you can try the hardy version in
my ppa (https://edge.launchpad.net/~amoog/+archive/ppa) and give
