Well, I tried in a relatively fresh Jaunty VM and still can't get
gcompris to crash. I couldn't find the specific activity that DTW was
used , everything I tried worked.
We can't put a whole new version of Gcompris into Jaunty, but we can
certainly either remove activities that have a problem or p

time, the last messages during suspend are stored in a buffer and are
timestamped and written out after resume. So typically all the suspend

I have the exact same experience klaxian does on comment #63 - it's when
I'm pushing a lot of data or just have a lot of connections in general.

I have reproduced it. Just install a fresh Jaunty, then GCompris and it
crashes at startup.

I can confirm this issue in a Sony Vaio VGN-NS150J.
Also, battery time has been considerably reduced from Ubuntu 8.10.

Thanks mooli. Mooli's post on 04/28/2009 fixes this problem for me. Just for
clarity he wrote:
a)open console,
b)hold CTRL, ALT and push F1
c)login as root user

Exact same problem on a Samsung r510 with 4gb (2x2gb dual kit)
ubuntu x64, opensuse x64 and fedora x64 will not work with 4gb. However
if i pull a 2gb stick out they all work.
I have noticed a few of us have samsung laptops.
