Oh... I'm sorry... casper-rw was not cleanly unmounted only appears after

got the same problem ASUS m2avm motherboard, ATI SB600, after upgrading

Hello,
After seting up a VM using vmbuilder, the guest has nameserver 127.0.0.1
in resolv.conf with prevent it to resolve domain names.
The hack is to comment that line.
Here is a simple vm conig that produces that error:

It's hard to say for certain without knowing how it got into that state,
also I don't use KDE so don't know how that may be playing into it.
