meant to handle sybase and not Microsoft SQL Server databases.

It is much worse with VLC. It happens when there is some other heavy

I was having this problem as well on hardy - booting the 32bit kernel
(by adding kernel/unix to the grub kernel line) worked. I upgraded to

1) Workspace Switcher initially has 4 Columns and 1 Row.
2) I keep nautilus file browser open on Workspace 1
3) I keep firefox open on Workspace 3
4) Now change Workspace Switcher

I don't find what I have changed to have the bug reappear. I have no
sound when GDM start before I open my session, so I don't think this is
a problem related to my personal settings.
I have tried to remove pulseaudio, the problem is still here.

My problem seems similar, but with different hardware.
When I use the internet, and especially if I try to download updates, my
PC will freeze. First the application seems to freeze, then within 15
seconds, the mouse will as well.
