SAMBA is not preinstalled as part of the standard Ubuntu or Xubuntu
installation, it is not necessary to browse Windows shares. Samba

If you would license the SVG file under the same license of Audacity
(GPL 2 or later) you would be on the safe side. I do not think, that
they own a trademark for it. There should be no problem, if you use this
SVG icon as application icon. Please add the copyright information into
the SVG file.

Steve, can you look into /etc/ppp/options and try making sure that:
- you have noauth instead of auth
- you have uncommented ipcp-accept-remote and ipcp-accept-local
Does that address the issue for you?

Yes I installed acpitool under jaunty.. It has an option to force the
fan ON but it complained that the toshiba_acpi kernel extensions were
not installed We have to figure out a way to modify this ..

problem but the server says that the job is completed, but nothing cames

through opera or gFTP.
With the gFTP there is difference if I am connected to another computer
