The fact of the matter is that is not going to happen. Compiz show
desktop functionality is not going to change but we can make it more
obvious why/how it is different by enabling the showdesktop plugin.

The ideal solution would indeed need to do this. I get this bug in Compiz, but
I feel it can affect anybody. Maybe the cursor can stick/jump to the border

and prefer it in the KDE system settings (or with the 'qtconfig' command)

System freeze on high memory usage

I have exactly the same problem and have been searching the internet for
solution in the last few month unsuccessfully. Although the system
continue to boot with this error, but we would like to ask the kernel

Update: Even with write-caching off, the drives still give the softreset

Do you have to be both watching videos and listening to music on
audacious or with things crash if you only watch videos or only listen
to music on audacious? It is important to see which of the two programs
are causing the problem, or if the problem only happens when both are
running.

specific issue. GIMP is already included by default in Ubuntu, so I am
