Home, Documents, Pictures, etc. from 'Places' menu to your Desktop to

I had a similar problem with the i386 alternate CD image for 2009-07-24
It could not detect the USB stick was the installation medium and tried
to search for the CD
I mounted the USB stick on /cdrom during the install but had the same
problem.

for system configuration. However, the System menu still uses the old menu

I don't know if that would be any help, but in dmesg (with dmesg | grep -i

I'm not sure how many people my case affects but its not just running
wine applications that is a problem. It seems that this bug might be
related to a bigger one regarding changing resolutions in general. I

I was wondering if any one has experienced the same issue as myself, I have a

Given the loss of functionality (internationalization, ease of switching
between types of searches, unexpected search results) and how it affects
the appearance of search results (It looks kind of ugly, no? Not very
ayatana-friendly), I hope that the folks in charge at Ubuntu reverse
this change
