I have seen a cpu usage of 100% by iwlagn on my IBM T61 using karmic alpha 3
(kubuntu)
The workaround was
sudo modprobe -r iwlagn
sudo modprobe iwlagn
and then hog was gone and also wireless worked well

Thanks to Alex Fiestas (kde-quality maillist) I found the problem: The
sticky keys activated (systempreferences->Accessibility->Modifiers
Keys).
However, there must bug somwhere since I've never changed that
configuration settings, neither in KDE3 and KDE4, and never realized of
the current behav
If some developer wants, please close the issue. However I leave this
"open" as something is wrong as I've commented in my previous comment.

and experience these freezes all the time. Even when idle, the Xorg uses

Bug #62529 should be fixed in Karmic meaning you can drag Bookmarks like
Home, Documents, Pictures, etc. from 'Places' menu to your Desktop to
create links.
If Trash is a bookmark you should also be able to drag that to the
Desktop.
Is dragging from the 'Places' menu to the Desktop obvious enough

Using Ubuntu UNR Karmic alpha-3 iso.
Generally the sound works good. The problem appears after a sound has
been played when there is only silence, after a few seconds I hear a

I fixed the issue by clearing the files in ~/.kde/share/config/ but I
don't know which was responsible. It did not affect Dolphin or Konqueror
at all.

Thanks Paul, this got me one step further.
I did however not manager what to specify to get aac encoding work, even
I installed libfaad/libfaac, but this is not the scope of this BR.
